          In June 1949,
the 53rd Constabulary Sqdn was reorganized and redesignated as the
15th Constabulary Sqdn. The 15th, stationed in Weiden, took over the
border mission from Hof and Coburg to Passau.

            The 15th served as one
of the only two border squadrons left in Germany, maintaining law
and order along the US Zone, Russian Zone and Czech borders.

On December 15 1952, the 2nd Constabulary Brigade was inactivated
and the remaining subordinate units, the 15th and 24th Constabulary
Sqdns, were also inactivated and their troops and equipment absorbed into
            Seventh Army. |
